When you install Divi you’ll get 46 powerful modules, such as Number Counters, Maps and Sliders. But sometimes your design requires additional resources. Luckily, there are a bunch of good plugins developed specifically for Divi. Here is a list of the top five free Divi plugins (+ two bonuses) that will give your WordPress experience a nutritious injection.

1. Divi Icon Expansion Pack

Are you fed up with the +380 standard icons in the Divi Blurb module? Now you can add over 300 fresh icons with everything from social media logos to cats and dogs. As a generous bonus, you will also get all icons as image files in the formats PNG, SVG, AI, and PSD. Thanks to Aspen Grove Studios!

2. Battle Suit for Divi

Here you have no less than nine brand new modules for Divi. Here are my top three favorites: The first is the Bucket  module which is an improved version of Divi Blurb module with hover effects. The second one is the Video Lightbox that does exactly what you think it does: Videos are displayed in a nice lightbox (just as the videos in the Elegant Themes blog). My third new favorite module is Footer that allows you to add the global footer on pages with the blank template (or to any other page or row, actually). Thanks to Divi Sensei!

3. Divi Article Card

The boxed Divi blog grid is one of the most distinctive design features of the theme. Even though you can easily add borders and shadows, the design options are pretty limited. Divi Article Card is a small plugin that gives the blog grid a more vibrant look and feel with a nice hover effect and a more dynamic meta text presentation. Enable the plugin and choose your color and you’re done. Thanks Elegant Themes!

4. Divi Extended Column Layouts

Divi lets you design with several different combinations consisting of one, two, three and four columns. But what if you need more variations? With this plugin you double your options with with five, six, seven and eight columns.

Recently, Elegant Themes told that they will release an update with more column structures for Divi. While we wait for that update, we thank Tortoise IT!

5. Divi Hamburger Menu

With mobile Internet traffic accounting for more than 70% of the total web traffic, it’s more important than ever to have a good mobile user experience. To be honest, the default Divi mobile menu is a remnant from the time before the mobile revolution. This little plugin lets you choose between 20 different styles for your Hamburg menu. Bon appetite and thanks again Elegant Themes!

Two bonus plugins

Monarch and Bloom are two classic Divi plugins. The plugins are not free for everyone but they are included when you sign up for Divi. Don’t miss these bonus plugins from Elegant Themes.

Bloom

Gain more email subscribers for your newsletter and boost your lead generation. Choose between six beautiful display types for pop-ups, slide-ins, inline, widget forms and more.

Monarch

Optimize your share of voice in social media with integrated sharing buttons. And collect more followers with social media follow us icons. Customize where and how to display the icons.

Summary

A free lunch can be tasty but don’t forget to support the hard-working developers if you like what they are doing. Make a donation, post a review or share their links on social media. It’s the joint effort that makes WordPress, Divi and open source a force to be reckoned with. ✌
